The former Brazilian presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro and his family arrived this Wednesday in the United States, just days after his electoral defeat to President Luiz Inácio da Silva and in the midst of an attempt to evade the growing judicial encirclement he faces in Brazil.

According to the US network CNN, the politician landed at Opa-locka Executive Airport, in Miami, state of Florida, and on the plane were Bolsonaro, his wife and their two daughters.

Hours earlier, and after his party confirmed that he had left Brazil, the authorities of Argentina indicated that the former candidate and his relatives entered the country late on Tuesday through the province of Misiones. From there they boarded shortly afterward on a private flight bound for the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil, a previous stop before continuing on to the United States.

Flávio Bolsonaro's departure from Brazilian territory comes just after the Federal Police canceled his passports, once the deadline set by the judge of the Supreme Court Alexandre de Moraes to hand them over had expired, and he was imposed a ban on leaving Brazil in the framework of a case for alleged money laundering through betting houses.

To this scenario is added a new decision by the Supreme Court for the possible irregular foreign financing of his presidential campaign by the US 'lobby' Rockbridge Network --founded by the current vice president of that country, JD Vance-- to be investigated amid suspicions of eventual future concessions of mineral resources.

His arrival in the United States, where his brother Eduardo already resides, has the approval of the American president, Donald Trump, who has shown himself willing to receive him. "I would agree, that would be fine with me," the president declared when asked about the case, also acknowledging that he knew the details of his departure itinerary. "I heard that he was in Argentina," he said.
