The Iranian authorities reported this Wednesday that they have already managed to recover 50% of the gas production capacity at the Pars Sur facilities, which concentrate the largest reserves on the planet, after the attacks carried out in March against this complex by the Israeli Army as part of the offensive launched at the end of February alongside the United States against the Asian country.
The Iranian Deputy Minister of Oil, Ahmad Zeraatkar, has pointed out that "production in that section has resumed," emphasizing that the deadlines set for the total recovery of the field's capacities are being respected, a process that, according to the Iranian news agency Mehr, should be completed before the start of winter.
In addition, he highlighted that "national financial resources have also been mobilized for reconstruction efforts, with the launch of four projects as part of a significant financing program," while urging consumers to use energy responsibly while these works are ongoing.
The Israeli attacks against this gas field, jointly operated by Iran and Qatar, occurred on March 18 and prompted Tehran to respond with bombings against energy infrastructures located in several countries in the Middle East. In April, the parties agreed to a ceasefire, although the talks initiated then have not yet resulted in a definitive peace agreement.
