The Israeli Armed Forces have carried out new attacks in recent hours against alleged Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, despite the ceasefire officially remaining in force.
According to Lebanese media, artillery impacts have been registered in the town of Kefar Tebnit, in the Nabatiye district, as well as in Beit al Sayad, in the Tyre region, where material damage has also been reported.
Furthermore, the Lebanese television channel Al Mayadín has indicated that an Israeli bombing occurred in Hadatha, in the Bint Jbeil district, preceded by the launch of a sonic bomb that reportedly caused strong commotion among the population.
In parallel, another Israeli airstrike has been reported in Majdal Zun and the dropping of warning leaflets by an Israeli drone over the town of Mansuri, also located in the Tyre district.
In the town of Haris, Israeli forces carried out a search operation during which bursts of machine-gun fire were heard, with no casualties reported for now, according to the official Lebanese agency NNA. On Saturday, one person was killed and four injured in Israeli attacks precisely in Mansuri.
The Bint Jbeil Municipality has denounced that "the enemy is carrying out demolitions, bombings, destruction, and blowing up homes and stealing belongings in a clear war crime."
"The policy of silence and passivity is unacceptable," warned the local institution, which has urged the Lebanese state to adopt "immediate measures" to stop this "urban massacre" and bring the situation to international forums.
The ceasefire in Lebanese territory has been formally in effect since April 17, under the agreement between the United States and Iran in the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
However, Israel maintains that it is not bound by this text and adheres to the bilateral agreement with the Lebanese government that allows the presence of Israeli troops south of the Litani River and in several enclaves to the north as long as Hezbollah's disarmament is not guaranteed.
The Ministry of Health of Lebanon reported on Saturday that the death toll from the latest escalation, which began on March 2, now stands at 4,322 people dead and 12,210 injured.
