Immediately after, Trump insisted that "the Senate must confirm this warrior as soon as possible so that he can continue with the fantastic work he has been doing for the last four months."
Hung Cao, for his part, has also expressed through social media his gratitude for the trust placed in him, emphasizing that "it is an immense honor to lead the great warriors of the Navy and the Marine Corps." Cao had assumed the leadership of the Department of the Navy provisionally at the end of April of this year, when Phelan was dismissed "with immediate effect."
