The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has ratified a series of attacks on 16 targets located in Russian territory, focused mainly on facilities linked to the oil sector, although they have also hit airfields and strategic infrastructures. As he has emphasized, these operations aim to impact the "oil wallet of Russia that finances the war."
In a message disseminated on social media, the Ukrainian leader has taken stock of the latest military actions carried out by Kiev, claiming responsibility for the attack on "16 targets in Russia."
"In particular, long-range attacks were carried out against oil facilities - the oil wallet of Russia that finances the war. Airfields, a missile unit, and infrastructures that are constantly used to launch attacks against Ukraine were also targeted," argued the head of the Ukrainian state, detailing the scope of the offensive.
Zelensky specified that among the targets hit are also a military sector company and elements of Russian logistics, insisting that the purpose of this campaign is for the war "to return to the place from where it came."
"Ukraine responds to Russian attacks, and we do so in a way that ensures that the cost of the war for the aggressor inevitably increases. We are precisely reducing Russia's capacity to carry out its aggression," he pointed out, defending the Ukrainian response as an attempt to steadily diminish Moscow's offensive potential.
