A 19-year-old German climber has lost his life after falling about 40 meters during an accident recorded on the Grossglockner mountain in Austria, according to police reports.

The incident took place on Friday afternoon in a climbing area of Kals, in the state of Tyrol, according to information provided by the police. Initially, it was not precisely determined what caused the young man's fall.

This event occurs just a week after the death of a 36-year-old German hiker in the Zillertal Alps, also in Tyrol, after losing his balance on a narrow path and falling between 50 and 100 meters down very steep and rocky terrain.

Days earlier, another German hiker died after falling from rocky cliffs in the Venediger mountain range, also in Tyrol. Investigators believe that the 74-year-old man also lost his life in an accident while descending.
