The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has maintained this Thursday that "the Ministry of Transport was ground zero for corruption by the Executive of Pedro Sánchez," after the existence of a separate secret document in the National Court (Audiencia Nacional) linked to the 'Koldo case' became known.

In the context of this new line of investigation, the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard (Guardia Civil) has launched an operation that has included a search at the home of the former Minister of Transport José Luis Ábalos, as well as a request for documentation at Adif. Within the framework of this action, six people have been arrested, including Ábalos's former partner, Andrea de la Torre, and Cristian Corvillo, whom the PP identifies as Pedro Sánchez's driver during the PSOE primaries in 2017.

During an appearance before the media in Albacete, in the middle of the pre-campaign for the elections of November 29, Abascal assessed the UCO operation and insisted that the Ministry of Transport led by Ábalos and the former adviser Koldo García "was ground zero for Sánchez's corruption." "It is extremely serious," the Vox leader stressed, who demanded the "immediate" resignation of the prime minister and that he be placed at the disposal of Justice.

No, not all of us are the same

In this context, Abascal has wanted to distance himself from Sánchez and from the campaign slogan "Not everyone is the same" used by the Government and the PSOE for 29N, again calling for Óscar Puente to resign, as he did on Wednesday at a rally in Cuenca. "Not all of us are the same; today they haven't arrested my driver in a corruption case," Abascal emphasized.

Asked about information pointing to the fact that Koldo would have reached an agreement with the PP lawyer to pay one million euros in exchange for lying against the Government, revealed by La Ser, Abascal indicated that he does not know whether those data are true and stressed that, in any case, it will be the courts who must clarify it.

"It's a mafia that we're going to see betray, lie, confess the truth to save themselves, but I trust that in the end the judges will tell us the truth," he concluded.
