The president of the PP and candidate for the Presidency of the Government, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has decided to kick off his campaign agenda this Saturday, November 7, in Valladolid, where he will hold at 12:00 p.m. his first rally after the train accident in Urda (Toledo), which occurred ten days ago and in which 69 people lost their lives.

The event will take place in the city where the former minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, was born, who was Socialist mayor of this capital for eight years.

The PP had made this event public when the Valladolid leader was still serving in the post of minister, but Puente announced his resignation the following day, Tuesday, November 3. That same day he also officially stated that he was stepping down from heading the candidacy for the Congress of Deputies for this province.

At this first campaign rally following the train disaster, Feijóo will be supported during the round of speeches by the provincial president of the PP, Conrado Íscar; the mayor of Valladolid and candidate for the Senate, Jesús Julio Carnero; number one to the Congress, María Pardo; and the party’s regional president, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco.

The political event will begin at 12:00 p.m. in hall 4 of the Feria de Valladolid, the same venue chosen by Vox leader Santiago Abascal for a rally held on the afternoon of October 28, the date on which the Urda accident took place.

The next day, Sunday, November 8, the leader of the PP will travel to the province of Málaga, where he plans to take part in a new campaign event.
