Frente Amplio has called for this Saturday, 7 November, an aperitif open to all citizens in which it will make known the people who form part of its lists for the Congress of Deputies and the Senate for the general elections of 29 November, and in which it will also collect proposals, ideas and concerns from local residents with a view to the next legislature.

The event will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the CCOO headquarters in Santander and will feature the number one in the Congress, Carmen Martín, and the Senate ballot candidate for Progreso, Israel Ruiz Salmón, as well as other members of the coalition’s candidacies.

As the organization has pointed out in a statement, the initiative aims to facilitate direct contact with citizens through a “close and participatory” format, which will combine the public presentation of the candidacies with an open dialogue space on the main social, economic and environmental challenges that affect both Cantabria and the whole of the country.

In this way, the call wants to be “a meeting point to share proposals and listen to citizens’ demands”, based on the idea that social participation “must play a central role in the development of public policies”.

Along with Martín and Ruiz Salmón, José Luis de la Mata, Carmen Fuentes, Carmen J. Franganillo, Chema Campuzano, Sergio Tamayo and Verónica C. Montero will also take part in the meeting.

Lastly, from Frente Amplio they have invited all interested people to attend, bring their proposals and share an aperitif in “an easygoing environment open to dialogue”.
