The general secretary of Vox, Ignacio Garriga, has pointed out that more than 8,000 migrant people have arrived on the island of El Hierro, in the Canary Islands, a situation that has been likened to what was experienced in Ceuta and that, in his view, will lead to an increase in the "call effect".
"The question is what the president of the government, Pedro Sánchez, the Partido Socialista, is going to do. We have no doubt that he will receive those people who have arrived in an irregular situation and distribute them across the peninsula, with what that obviously implies, the call effect will be multiplied", he stated this Sunday in comments to the media in Castelldefels (Barcelona).
Garriga also reproached Sánchez for, according to him, not having planned to attend the Interministerial Commission on Immigration next Tuesday: "When we need the Government and the president of the Government to make decisions, we always see that he makes them against the interests of the Spanish people", he added.
In his remarks, he said that Sánchez has become the "greatest risk" for the security and prosperity of the Spanish people, as well as for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country, and he called for support at the ballot box to form an Executive that, in his opinion, would protect them.
He noted that there is a "unique opportunity, perhaps the last one, to recover what the PSOE policies have destroyed and to begin a process of national reconstruction that guarantees security in the streets, that guarantees the prosperity of families and workers".
Likewise, he assured that since 2023 the PP has lost support in voting intention and has presented Vox as the "only guarantee" to remove the PSOE from the central Government.
Asked about the management of the rail system after the accident in Urda (Toledo), the Vox leader said that the PSOE has transformed Renfe, Adif and the Ministry of Transport into "the zero zone for corruption".
