The BNG has given this Sunday the starting signal for the electoral race for next 29 November with the goal of achieving “massive support” that will allow Galicia to gain “more political weight” and consolidate itself as “the alternative for the social majority”.

“We are going to go all out, to break the ceilings and we are going to tell them that they fail in their polls. You are our algorithm; we need you to fight the battle in the territory, in the networks, that we fight for every vote so that on the next 29 November we can say: here is an unstoppable BNG with no limits to defend Galicia,” the nationalist leader, Ana Pontón, has proclaimed before a hall at the Multiusos Fontes do Sar, in Santiago, packed to the rafters.

At this rally, the spokesperson for the Bloc, accompanied by the top candidates of the four constituencies --Néstor Rego (A Coruña), Carme da Silva (Pontevedra), Olalla Rodil (Lugo) and Noa Presas (Ourense)--, has reiterated that the nationalist formation will stand up in Madrid to defend the interests of Galician citizens “without asking for permission and without asking for forgiveness” in order “to make themselves respected”.

With an address in which she highlighted what has been achieved in the Cortes Generales during the last legislature, as well as the defense of social policies and the role of the BNG in containing the far right and in the face of “systemic two-partyism”, Ana Pontón has presented “peripheral” forces as “an alternative and the hope” of “a new and different kind of politics”.
