The president of the Junta de Andalucía and of the PP-A, Juanma Moreno, reiterated this Sunday that "politicians do not have the right to strike," alluding to the day of stoppage over access to housing called for November 11 by CCOO, UGT and the Sindicato de Inquilinas. He emphasized that the obligation of public office holders is "to be where they correspond," in reference to the coincidence of the strike with the all-party debate in Parliament on the entirety of the community’s Draft Budget Law for 2027.

Moreno made these statements at a public event in support of the national president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, where the deputy secretary for Regional and Municipal Policy and MP for Málaga, Elías Bendodo, also took part. The strike has affected the planning of the plenary session, after Adelante Andalucía and Por Andalucía had advanced that they will not attend the Chamber to back the protests—renouncing the defense of their amendments to the entirety—while the PSOE-A requested unsuccessfully in the Board of Spokespersons for the session to be postponed, a proposal that was rejected by the majority formed by PP-A and Vox.

During his speech, the president of Andalusia highlighted the "stability" of Andalusia compared with the management of the central Executive, emphasizing that the regional Government has approved "eight consecutive budgets, managing around 400,000 million euros in these years without a single case of corruption." He recalled that, when they arrived at the Junta seven years ago after several decades of socialist governments, they encountered "a poisoned legacy" before which, as he has pointed out, they have worked "like no one else to move the land forward."

Along these lines, Moreno highlighted that "almost 80% of the Budget does not come from European funds or from State transfers, but from the effort and sacrifice of every single one of the Andalusians, something that very few communities can say." In addition, he stressed that the regional accounts respect the deficit target "with a very important level of execution," a achievement that he linked to the fiscal policy applied by his Executive.

"We have achieved this because we have lowered taxes," the head of the Andalusian executive has emphasized, who has placed at about 2,000 million euros the accumulated savings for taxpayers since taking office, following eight consecutive tax cuts. In his view, this model has made it possible to bring in "millions of new taxpayers and to reach an extraordinary revenue of around 3,000 million euros more thanks to the lowering of taxes".
