The Federal Executive of the PSOE has given the green light to the rest of the dates of the primary election calendar, which will be held on September 26 and November 14, as confirmed this Monday by the spokesperson, Montse Mínguez.

The party opted for a flexible primary model, in which each federation could choose between three possible days to go to the polls. The first appointment took place on July 19, with voting in Madrid, Oviedo, Ferrol, and Torrelavega.

In the capital Madrid, the former minister and current municipal spokesperson, Reyes Maroto, and the councilor Enma López, who resigned from her position in the Federal Executive to compete with her colleague, supported by the party apparatus, faced off.

This Monday, Mínguez insisted that the development of the primaries is being "clean" and that there is "fair play" among the candidates. "It has been a totally clean and transparent process and moreover, the PSOE wins because the machinery is activated when we are in primary processes," she emphasized.
