Students from the agricultural training and experimentation centers (CFEA) recently reinforced their studies with a practical day in the mountains of O Courel.
According to the Galician Government in a press release, a group of students took part this week in a training activity carried out in this environment, which included an itinerary through the Devesa da Rogueira and a stop at the Aula de la Naturaleza de Moreda, in the municipality of Folgoso do Courel.
Throughout the visit, the students had the opportunity to identify the most representative plant species of the area, get closer to the "wealth and singularity" of its ecosystems and delve into the relevance of conservation and sustainable management of natural spaces.
The experience also served to publicize different resources and tools for environmental education and interpretation, in addition to promoting "responsible and respectful" attitudes toward the natural environment among the participants.
With initiatives like this, the Xunta emphasizes, the Consellería do Medio Rural consolidates the role of the CFEA as reference centers for training connected with the reality of the territory and with the professional demands of the agricultural and forestry sector.
