The spokesperson for Izquierda Unida in the Cortes of Aragón, Marta Abengochea, has expressed her concern about the way the regional government has acted after it became known that the judge overseeing the Riglos fire case has decided to open a separate piece to clarify whether unauthorized information linked to the procedure was disseminated, a fact that, if confirmed, she has described as "serious irresponsibility."
Abengochea has emphasized that, while awaiting the judicial investigation to precisely determine what happened and maintaining the necessary caution, any improper dissemination of data from the summary would represent conduct of enormous seriousness on the part of those who might be involved.
These statements were made at the beginning of a press conference held this Tuesday, during which she also announced a parliamentary initiative from her group to establish a Special Study Commission on data centers in Aragón.
The deputy has linked this episode to the stance that, in her opinion, the Aragonese Executive has shown since the beginning of the case. In this regard, she criticized the "urgency to find a scapegoat" with the aim of diverting political responsibilities from the Government of Aragón, as well as the public statements of the Minister of Finance, Interior and Public Administration, Roberto Bermúdez de Castro, and the general director of Commerce, Fairs and Crafts, Carmen Herrarte.
"I consider the alleged leak to be very serious and irresponsible, as well as the hasty search for a scapegoat and the unfortunate statements from the Government of Aragón, because they damage its credibility and its management capacity," Abengochea has pointed out. In her view, this situation generates concern among the Aragonese citizenry, as it evidences a lack of institutional responsibility and contributes to the deterioration of trust in the actions of the regional Executive.
