The campaign spokesperson for the PP and the Popular Parliamentary Group in Congress, Ester Muñoz, has demanded from the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, "to guarantee order, security, and freedom in Spain" and has insisted that, "if he is not capable, he should leave now, he should resign."
Muñoz traveled this Tuesday to Zaragoza, where she was accompanied by the President of the Government of Aragon and leader of the PP in the community, Jorge Azcón, and by the PP candidate for Congress for Zaragoza, Rocío Dívar.
During her speech, she criticized the attitude of the head of the Executive: "In the PSOE they get angry when we laugh at Sánchez dancing, but he can dance whatever he wants, but what is expected from a serious president is that he takes his country seriously," she stated, reproaching him that "it is not serious to be dancing at a rally while a Spanish city like Bilbao was burning."
The popular spokesperson highlighted that Bilbao has become the third Spanish city "vandalized," after the events recorded in La Coruña and Barcelona. "While Bilbao was burning, Pedro Sánchez was dancing," she denounced, emphasizing that Spain "is not a violent country."
"In Spain, when people are outraged, they vote in elections and the left has to understand that we do not want that violence that we are seeing in other countries in Spain," Muñoz pointed out. She then added: "If they are afraid of losing the elections, if they are afraid of losing power, what they have to do is go vote and endure, because that is what a democrat does. When they lose the elections, they endure. They do not exercise violence."
Muñoz has urged leftist parties to clearly condemn the violent episodes and has demanded that the President of the Government resign if he cannot ensure the protection of citizens. "It is incomprehensible to have a President of the Government dancing from rally to rally while his country burns. It is incomprehensible that Pedro Sánchez is so frivolous and so irresponsible."
Morocco, immigration, and funding
At another moment in her appearance, the popular leader criticized that Sánchez "says absolutely nothing and continues to lie to the Spaniards" after it became known that commanders of the National Police and Civil Guard have testified before a judge of the National Court that they saw boats coming from Morocco and that agents from the neighboring country were guiding immigrants towards Ceuta.
Muñoz has also referred to "information on how the Civil Guard knew about those ships of the Moroccan Navy that were in Spanish waters and that they also saw how immigrants were thrown into the sea," warning that "we have a country with an autonomous city still invaded, whose cities in our country are also burning and Sánchez says absolutely nothing, he is dedicated to giving kisses to his wife and dancing from rally to rally."
In his opinion, "Spain deserves a serious, rigorous president, who puts his country before everything and who is dedicated to solving the problems of the citizens. And that is what these elections are about: seriousness, rigor, decency, honesty, or a person harassed by all the judicial cases he has in his family, in his Government, and in his party."
The project of Feijóo and November 29
Looking at the general elections on the next November 29, Muñoz has called on the Aragonese to choose between a "reformist" project led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo, the PP candidate for the Presidency of the Government, and "aimed at improving the lives of Spaniards," or "a personal project, of a single person, whose objective is to solve the judicial problems that, day by day, are tightening around President Sánchez."
According to the spokesperson, "today there is no Spaniard who lives better than three years ago. Today it is much more difficult to make ends meet than three years ago. It is harder to rent a house, buy a home, fill the gas tank. It is much more difficult to go shopping and work and for your salary to allow you to make ends meet or build a life project," she stated, emphasizing that, in the face of this situation, Feijóo "proposes solutions that we are detailing day by day."
Finally, she praised the head of the PP list for Congress for Zaragoza, Rocío Dívar, of whom she said is "a strong, hardworking, honest, and sincere woman who will carry the interests of Aragon, Zaragoza, and Spain as a priority to the Congress of Deputies."
