The invitation from Jordi Wild to Pedro Sánchez, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, Santiago Abascal, and the representatives of the left to participate in The Wild Project has placed the content creator in the political conversation of the general elections on November 29. Feijóo and Abascal have already publicly accepted his proposal, while Sánchez has not yet responded.
The initiative has reopened a question that has accompanied the Catalan presenter for years: Is Jordi Wild right-wing or left-wing? Although he has expressed opinions on political and social issues, the creator has repeatedly rejected being categorized into one of the two ideological blocks.
His statements allow for the reconstruction of some of his positions, from Catalan independence to abortion, liberalism, or his criticisms of certain government policies. "Politics? I am a non-dogmatic progressive liberal," he responded in an interview granted in 2022 to La Vanguardia.

Jordi Wild acknowledges that he has voted for Catalan independence
One of the most relevant precedents dates back to 2019, when Jordi Wild participated in La Fábrica, the program of Gabriel Rufián. During that conversation, the then deputy of ERC directly asked him about his position regarding the independence of Catalonia.
Wild acknowledged that he had voted for independentist options in some elections, although he avoided defining himself as a convinced independentist. "I vary, I am not patriotic," he explained, before adding that flags were indifferent to him.

He also questioned the unilateral declaration of independence from October 2017, considering that mistakes had been made in the strategy of independence. For the creator, part of the growth of the movement responded more to discontent with the political situation than to a matter of national identity.
In favor of abortion, critical of inclusive language and liberal on some issues
In May 2022, during an interview published by Diario de Navarra, Jordi Wild explained that he rejected the conventional division between right and left because he believed that his opinions could coincide with different ideological currents.
"In some things I can seem super progressive, socially for example, but in others I am more liberal," he stated.
To illustrate this, he pointed out two specific positions: his support for the right to abortion and his rejection of inclusive language. He also defended a broad conception of freedom of expression, although with limits when it could harm other people.
"I went from fascist to woke in two days": his criticisms of polarization
In August 2025, during an interview on the podcast El Sentido de la Birra, hosted by Ricardo Moya, Wild again addressed the ideological labels he receives based on his guests and the issues he discusses in his programs.
The creator explained that he could be considered left or right in a matter of days, depending on his statements or the people he interviewed. Among the examples he mentioned were the participation of an advisor to Kamala Harris in his podcast and the criticisms of Pedro Sánchez heard during one of his events.

"It seems so absurd to me to put everything into two sides", he stated during the conversation, in which he also assured that he no longer felt represented by any political party.
Wild also criticized what he considers an excess of moralism in the so-called woke culture and warned that the opposite reaction could provoke another shift towards extreme positions. His main argument was that political opinions cannot always be divided into two opposing categories.
The chants against Sánchez at one of his events
One of the episodes that fueled the debate about his ideology occurred in February 2025, during the Dogfight Wild Tournament, a contact sports event organized by Jordi Wild in Badalona.
During the celebration, there were chants against Pedro Sánchez, which generated criticism and comments about the supposed political orientation of the creator.
Wild later responded that the episode had not been organized with an ideological purpose and distanced himself from the political interpretation of what happened. He also expressed his discomfort about the consequences that the controversy could have for his activity.
His criticisms of the Ministry of Equality
In December 2022, in an interview with El Español, Jordi Wild also questioned a campaign by the Ministry of Equality that included references to behaviors associated with public figures such as the content creator Xokas and the presenter Pablo Motos.
Wild considered it inappropriate for a public institution to use such references and criticized that specific individuals were pointed out through a campaign funded with public resources.
From Rufián's interviewee to host of the candidates for 29N
The relationship of Jordi Wild with political interviews has a significant precedent in his conversation with Gabriel Rufián in 2019. At that time, it was the creator who answered the questions of the ERC leader about independence, Spanish democracy, and the functioning of the parties.
Seven years later, it is Wild who proposes to seat the main candidates for the Presidency of the Government on his own program, with three conditions: that they participate personally, that they do not know the questions in advance, and that all accept the invitation.
The proposal has already received public support from Feijóo and Abascal, while the response from Sánchez and the representative of the left remains pending. Wild himself has warned that he will not hold the interviews if any of the invited guests refuse to participate.
His previous statements do not allow us to establish which party he currently votes for nor what his preference will be on 29N. What they do reflect is a trajectory of diverse political positions, with a background of independentist voting, liberal opinions, and criticisms of both certain progressive policies and the ideological division of public debate.
The electoral invitation from The Wild Project thus comes from a creator who has expressed political opinions on numerous occasions, but who refuses to define himself as a representative of the right or the left.
