The Popular Parliamentary Group in the Cortes of Castilla y León has denounced that the ministers of the central Government are transforming their official trips to the Community into acts of "electoral propaganda of the Socialist Party," and has advanced the registration of a Non-Legislative Proposition (PNL) to demand greater respect for the autonomous institutions.
The spokesperson for the Popular Group in the Cortes, Leticia García, has criticized the recent visit of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, to Medina de Rioseco (Valladolid), understanding that in this act "the rules of protocol and institutional loyalty" have been violated.
García has pointed out that Planas's presence reproduces the pattern of the visit of the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, on the occasion of the inauguration of two sections of the A-11. In both cases, she has reproached that no notices or invitations were sent to the president of the Junta of Castilla y León, to the councilors, to the mayors, or to the presidents of the provincial councils.
"Once again, they come to the territory of Castilla y León to do electoral propaganda for the Socialist Party, inviting only their buddies," she stated.
In the same vein, the PP has questioned that leaders of the executive of the Socialist Party in the Community participate in these official acts. "Who is Mr. Martínez to accompany a member of the Government of Spain? He does not represent this community, he only represents the PSOE. Enough of buddy photos paid for with everyone's money," she has stated.
The spokesperson has reminded that Article 26 of the Statute of Autonomy and the Royal Decree of General Order of Precedence of the State establish that the president of the Junta holds the supreme representation of the Community and the ordinary representation of the State in the autonomous sphere. Therefore, she has warned that the absence of prior communication of these agendas constitutes a "breach" of the principles of loyalty, collaboration, and coordination between administrations established in the current regulations.
Through the parliamentary initiative presented in the Chamber, the Popular Group demands that the central Executive inform the Junta of Castilla y León in advance of all official visits of the ministers, in order to ensure the presence and participation of the autonomous authorities in institutional acts.
