The socialist procurator Francisco Díaz has denounced this Tuesday that the Junta of Castilla and León has left 77 municipalities of the Community without response by not executing the funds of the energy rehabilitation plan aimed at the municipalities affected by the demographic challenge.
Díaz has explained that the call was launched by the central Government and processed by the Junta in 2022, while the deadline for submitting applications ended in 2024, without all projects being addressed.
The socialist representative has reproached the regional Executive for only having attended to 50 of the 127 resolved applications and has questioned the future of the pending money. "What is going to happen with the funds that they will have to return to Madrid and Brussels?" Díaz has reiterated, who has criticized the "inability" of the Junta to manage these resources.
"They ask for money from Sánchez, they ask for money from everyone, but they are unable to manage," the procurator has stated, who has urged the Government of Alfonso Fernández Mañueco to engage in self-criticism and to "have the minimum capacity to invest that money in a land that needs it more than ever."
In response, the counselor of the Presidency, Luis Miguel González Gago, has reproached the central Government for not yet having addressed the reform of local financing, a matter he considers key for the municipalities.
