The organization secretary of Junts, Judith Toronjo, has positively valued the "forceful" ruling issued by the Consell de Garanties Estatutàries (CGE) regarding the bill promoted by the Comuns and the Govern, which aims to curb speculative housing purchases.
In a message disseminated and collected by Europa Press, the deputy emphasized that the CGE report, which lacks binding character but appreciates violations of fundamental rights such as private property, "knocks down the main pillars of the law."
Toronjo criticized that the Govern has acted "at the behest of the failed policies of the city of Barcelona with Colau of the Comuns" and has claimed the initiatives of Junts to address the housing crisis, among them the increase of the public and private housing stock and the fight against vulture funds, she pointed out, without penalizing the small property owner.
