The Minister of Interior and Public Security of the Generalitat, Núria Parlon, will attend this Wednesday the Interior Commission of the Parliament to account for the disturbances recorded last Saturday in the center of Barcelona, which resulted in 130 people detained and around thirty businesses affected by damages or looting.
As Europa Press has reported, the session of the commission has been set for 4:00 PM in the Catalan Chamber, despite the fact that meetings of Interior and Public Security are usually held at 3:00 PM.
This Monday, Parlon made a call to mass messaging platforms to shut down the groups that "incite" young people to commit crimes and to exercise violence. This Tuesday, Telegram has proceeded to block one of the accounts that, precisely, had promoted the violent episodes in the Catalan capital.
