The syndic of the PSPV in Les Corts and number 4 of the PSOE for Congress for the elections on November 29, José Muñoz, has denounced that "the decision of the 'president' of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, to integrate Social Services into the Ministry of Justice shows that social services and social policies do not matter to him at all."
Muñoz has spoken out after sources from the Presidency of the Generalitat confirmed that the Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Participation will assume the "bulk" of the competencies that Elena Albalat leaves after her dismissal as councilor of Social Services, Family and Childhood, as she heads the PP list for Castellón to Congress in the general elections on November 29.
In a statement, the socialist leader pointed out that this measure "puts social services back in the rear," so that the Valencians who depend on social policies to guarantee a dignified future "feel sidelined and disregarded by Pérez Llorca" once again.
"Just like Feijóo with equality, Pérez Llorca mistreats social services in a deliberate manner," he emphasized, linking his criticism to the recent statements of the president of the PP and candidate for the presidency of the Government, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
The PSPV candidate has labeled the decision as "absolute lack and disaster of management" and has demanded that Llorca reverse it: "Social policies must be one of the cornerstones of public policies and not as Pérez Llorca does, who mistreats them once again with this decision."
Finally, he criticized that, "after a management in which the councilor 'has dedicated herself to sending letters to the Ministry and has not been able to manage either the waiting lists or the needs of dependent people in the Comunitat Valenciana, Pérez Llorca has chosen to dilute the competencies of Social Services instead of reinforcing them."
