The president of the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA), Lorenzo del Río, admitted this Tuesday that he was concerned that Justice would be "in the background" within the broad ministry headed by Manuel Gavira (Vox) as second vice president and counselor of Tourism, Justice, Deregulation, and Local Administration of the Junta de Andalucía.
In an interview on Canal Sur radio reported by Europa Press, Del Río pointed out that he has spoken with the counselor "two or three times and he has told me not to worry; that Justice is something very important in the Ministry" that Gavira leads. "I was worried when I saw tourism, sports, regeneration, and deregulation grouped together again. They seemed like many subjects to me and I had the concern that Justice would become blurred."
"We have many pending issues related to a lot of problems: judicial headquarters, technological problems, increase in judicial positions, needs and personnel reinforcements," indicated the president of the TSJA, who insisted that "I hope and trust that the Ministry takes the baton and is something much more permanent than the tourism that is visualized."
Del Río emphasized that he already made this same warning in the first legislature of Juanma Moreno with Cs and the macro-ministry that was then headed by Juan Marín. "We are the community with the most judges, with the most judicial bodies, and with the largest territorial extension," the president of the TSJA stressed to emphasize the weight that, in his opinion, Justice should have within the organizational chart of the Junta.
