The police operation against National Nucleus has resulted this Friday in 14 arrests in different points across Spain, including Alberto González de Juan, known as Alberto Pugilato, and Enrique Lemus, founder of the party Noviembre Nacional. Both have been arrested in Valladolid as part of a judicial investigation into alleged crimes of illegal association, illegal weapons possession, and incitement to hatred.

The actions are coordinated by a court in Gijón (Asturias) and originate in altercations that took place in early 2026 in the vicinity of the Jesuit school La Inmaculada in the Asturian city. The first proceedings began with the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office and subsequently the investigation was extended to other Spanish localities.

For now, only the identities of two of the 14 people arrested have become publicly known, both linked to far-right movements. The investigation remains ongoing and the arrests do not imply that the crimes attributed to them have been proven.

Alberto Pugilato, convicted for disseminating hate messages through his music

One of the detainees is Alberto González de Juan, known as Alberto Pugilato, a figure linked for years to neo-Nazi circles and who has a judicial record for hate crimes.

In 2021 he was convicted for disseminating hate messages through his musical activity. The Supreme Court then upheld a one-year prison sentence against four members of neo-Nazi music bands, including Pugilato.

His name also gained public notoriety in June 2024, when he assaulted comedian Jaime Caravaca during a performance. The episode had a wide-ranging impact on social media.

More recently, in August 2026, the Valladolid Prosecutor’s Office filed a complaint against Pugilato for allegedly inciting harassment from his social media against personalities linked to the left, including comedian Héctor de Miguel, known as Quequé, and the broadcaster Sarah Santaolalla.

The person now detained was also involved in an incident related to a collections company in which a farmer ended up smashing with a tractor the vehicle in which he was traveling.

Enrique Lemus, founder of the party Noviembre Nacional

The second detainee whose identity has come to light is Enrique Lemus, founder of Noviembre Nacional, the political party with which the environment of Núcleo Nacional announced this summer its intention to take part in election-related activity.

Lemus has been arrested early this Friday in Valladolid. The officers have searched his home for several hours, located on Recondo Street, near the Campo Grande train station.

During the operation, two police vans remained parked in the vicinity of the residence, while Lemus attended the search carried out by the investigators.

The detention of the founder of Noviembre Nacional adds a political dimension to the operation against Núcleo Nacional, an organization that had announced its intention to expand its activity through electoral training.

What is Núcleo Nacional and why is it being investigated

Núcleo Nacional is a far-right radical organization linked to the neo-Nazi movement that has carried out various public mobilizations in Spain.

One of the episodes that preceded the investigation took place in Gijón, during a gathering convened against the removal of a monument. In that protest, members of the group chanted neo-Nazi slogans and shouted praises for the Franco regime.

After those events, the Government of the Principality of Asturias publicly asked the Ministry of the Interior to promote the necessary measures to encourage the dissolution of the organization.

The judicial investigation was initiated based on proceedings from the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office related to incidents that occurred in the vicinity of La Inmaculada school and has now resulted in a police operation carried out in several provinces.

Investigators are trying to clarify the possible commission of crimes of illegal association, possession of weapons, and incitement to hatred, although the specific participation attributed to each of the arrested persons has not yet been detailed publicly.

Fourteen detainees and an investigation still ongoing

The operation carried out this Friday has made it possible to detain 14 people allegedly linked to Núcleo Nacional. Among them are Pugilato and Lemus, whose arrests have taken place in Valladolid.

So far, the identities of the rest of the detainees have not come to light, nor the complete result of the police searches.

Judicial proceedings shall determine individual responsibilities and the possible existence of an organized structure dedicated to committing the offenses under investigation.
