The Madrid City Council and the Government Delegation are finalizing a specific deployment to prevent incidents in the capital in the coming hours, as explained by the Madrid mayor, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, during an interview on "Antena 3", reported by Europa Press.

"We are working with the Government Delegation and we are working well with the Delegation to put in place a security deployment with which to prevent incidents from occurring and, if they do occur, to be able to suppress them as soon as possible," he highlighted.

On the occasion of the celebration of Halloween and All Saints' Day, the City Council has reinforced security and has decided to seal off the city with a deployment of 1,700 officers during the holiday days. To this operation are added the municipal police officers on ordinary duty, prepared to intensify their presence if necessary, in coordination with the National Police in the face of calls for possible acts of vandalism that could be recorded on Friday and Saturday.

"There are some reports that say those calls may have been canceled, but obviously we cannot be certain that that will happen," the deputy mayor, delegate for Security and Emergencies of Madrid and municipal spokesperson, Inma Sanz, said on Thursday at the press conference following the Governing Board.
