The President of the Government of Aragón, Jorge Azcón, has insisted that "all" the disturbances that occur on public roads must be rejected, extending this condemnation to the incidents recorded during the event of the agitator and journalist, Vito Quiles, at the Campus San Francisco of the University of Zaragoza, held last Thursday, and which this Monday have been repeated in Bilbao, with greater virulence and material damage, despite the event being finally suspended. Azcón has also recalled that Quiles took part in the closing of the PP electoral campaign in the autonomous elections of February 8.
In this context, he has pointed out that "what is surprising today is that they are disturbances that occur in Zaragoza or in other cities and it is extraordinarily surprising that not the whole left as a block is condemning those disturbances".
Azcón has reiterated that "violence is incompatible with democracy" and has emphasized that "all violence is condemnable, no matter where it comes from". "I am never going to hesitate to condemn violence", the Aragonese president has stressed.
In his statements to the media, he has expressed his wish that "the entire left also condemns that violence and does not justify it on many occasions because it comes from people who may be defending causes that the left defends".
