The City Council of Palencia, governed by the PSOE, has decided not to participate in the concentrations promoted by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) in support of the Ceuta people after the recent migration crisis, scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, although it does plan to approve an institutional declaration.

As indicated by sources from the City Council to Europa Press, the celebration of the concentration has been ruled out after an "unfavorable report" issued by the Local Police, as the chosen date for the mobilization coincides with San Antolín, the "big day" of the patronal festivities of the capital of Palencia.

Despite this, the City Council has confirmed that an institutional declaration will be prepared and made public.
