Formerra, a leading company in the distribution of high-performance materials, has announced an increase in its transportation surcharge to address the ongoing rise in costs in the freight transportation and logistics market.
Starting from November 2, 2026, a surcharge of 450 dollars per delivery will be applied to all shipments made in North America, Central America, and South America.
Costs in the freight transportation and logistics market have steadily increased, while the sector faces higher operating costs, more limited transportation capacity, and a shortage of qualified drivers. At the same time, diesel prices reached a historic high in September.
"Freight transportation costs across the American continent remain high, and we do not expect these pressures to ease in the short term," said Tom Kelly, CEO of Formerra. "This adjustment helps to offset market pressures that are beyond our control, while allowing us to maintain the reliable service that our customers expect from Formerra."
