According to the Temu Small Business Study 2026, approximately 50% of Spanish sellers received their first order within one to three days, and 25% of respondents stated that they had already opened new international markets through the platform. More than half (52%) of the Spanish participants claim to have expanded some aspect of their business since they started working with Temu, such as the size of their warehouses or the number of workers.
Spanish companies that sell through Temu assure that their presence on the platform allows them to quickly attract new customers, expand their operations, and access new markets, according to a survey conducted by the company among its local sellers.
The results obtained are part of the Temu Small Business Study 2026, which includes a survey conducted with more than 150 local sellers from Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, and the United Kingdom. In the overall European sample, half of the respondents (50%) stated that they had increased their capacity, expanded their workforce, or adopted both measures since joining Temu, while one in three (34%) indicated that they had reached new markets through the platform.
"The survey results highlight the enormous growth potential of small businesses and entrepreneurs in Europe, as long as they have simpler and more affordable ways to reach new customers," said a spokesperson for Temu. "We hope to continue helping sellers generate employment in their communities and grow both in the domestic and foreign markets."
Creation of local employment and expansion of capacity in Spain
Among the Spanish respondents, four out of five (80%) received their first order on Temu within a week, and almost half (approximately 50%) received it within one to three days. More than half (52%) stated that they had expanded some aspect of their business since they started working with Temu, such as the number of products in their catalog, the size of their warehouses, or their workforce.
"Without a doubt, Temu has had a very positive impact on the business. It has meant significant growth for Recamania," said Natalia Collado Castillo, who joined this family business of spare parts for appliances, based in Albacete (Spain) due to the expansion it experienced after opening its store on Temu.
Recamania had been in operation for more than 40 years, but it had struggled to consolidate an online sales channel. In March 2025, it opened its store on Temu and began to work closely with the platform's business development team to optimize its product listings and strategy. Shortly after, it started receiving more than 4,000 orders per month through Temu, which led it to expand its warehouse and administration teams to cope with the increase in sales.
Temu's approach to supporting local sellers has developed from more than 100 conversations with sector organizations, business associations, and other stakeholders. From these emerged three recurring challenges: complexity, costs, and connection.
Connection and support to overcome the complexities of e-commerce
The survey revealed that the Spanish sellers surveyed particularly value the traffic and visibility that Temu provides to their businesses organically, something key for entrepreneurs and small businesses with limited resources.
Rafael Rubio, manager of El Rey del Fruto Seco, manages his store alone from Alicante and personally handles the selection of products from national suppliers, storage, and order preparation, among other tasks. With nearly 200 varieties of nuts, dried fruits, and spices, his store on Temu has already accumulated more than 13,000 sales and has become, as he explains, his fastest-growing sales channel.
Furthermore, more than 54% of the Spanish respondents highlighted the personalized attention that the Temu team offers, which supports local sellers during an onboarding process and provides them with real-time information and specific support to refine their online strategy, reach new customers, and respond more quickly to demand.
"It's like having a dedicated marketing team to help you grow," says Cristina Sierra, manager of Jamones y Más, based in Barcelona. Cristina represents the third generation of a family dedicated to offering various regional specialties from Spain, from Mallorcan sobrasada to Cantabrian anchovies, always with national suppliers. Temu is her first experience in a marketplace and, as she explains, she decided to open her store after learning about the support and advice that the platform offered. Currently, her store on Temu has surpassed 37,000 sales.
Reaching customers in new markets
After starting its operations in Europe in April 2023, Temu is present in more than 90 markets, including all EU member states, and offers products in over 700 categories. Since 2024, it allows local European companies to sell through its platform. Currently, the Temu Local Sellers Program is open to companies of all sizes in more than 35 markets, including much of Europe.
The survey highlights a remarkable international expansion among local sellers in Spain. 25% of the Spanish sellers surveyed report having already expanded to new markets and currently sell to both national and international customers through Temu. This figure rises to nearly 60% if sellers who are in the process of doing so or plan to do so soon are included.
In Logroño, La Rioja, Frikishop, specialized in selling Funkos and collectible figures, has sold more than 18,000 Funkos across Europe through its store on Temu. The company claims to have recorded a year-on-year growth of 30% since joining the platform almost two years ago.
"Temu has become our fastest-growing sales channel. We never expected to start selling so quickly and so much in other countries," says David Vidal Criado, founder of this family business. As he explains, Temu's support has allowed them to confidently face entry into different markets, such as Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium, and France. He now plans to expand his workforce to cope with the Christmas campaign. Selling through the platform has allowed the company to reach a much broader customer base across Europe, without the need to invest in specific marketing campaigns for each country.
