Tomorrow, the largest job fair for qualified professionals in Spain begins at the Vera Campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). On May 6 and 7, this forum brings together, for the first time in the history of the Spanish university system, 225 companies, a figure that surpasses that of any other public or private institution in the country and demonstrates the strategic need of large corporations to attract highly qualified talent to boost their competitiveness.
The UPV opens its doors tomorrow not only to its own students, but to young students and graduates from all over Spain, turning Valencia into the host city for university youth talent.
The Employment Forum, which is held uninterruptedly from 10:00 to 18:00 hours in the Nexus Gardens, also represents an extraordinary opportunity for the Valencian business ecosystem, as local companies will share innovation spaces with large multinationals, competing to attract the best profiles to continue driving their competitiveness and the region's growth.
Within the framework of this inauguration, Elena de la Poza, Vice-Rector of Employment, Lifelong Learning and Languages of the UPV, has highlighted the strategic vision of this meeting: "The direct connection between the academic and business world transcends the mere labor insertion of our graduates. It is an essential strategic alliance to structure an economy based on talent and innovation. Forums like the one we are inaugurating tomorrow are the true engine for building a more competitive, sustainable, and profoundly human society, where university knowledge is transformed into real value for companies".
Academic excellence translated into professional success
The massive interest from companies to attend Valencia tomorrow is solidly backed by the quality of UPV graduates. According to the most recent data from the Employability Report of the UPV Employment Observatory, more than 40% of its graduates find work immediately after finishing their studies. After one year, this figure rises to almost 82%, and after five years, the employment rate exceeds 91%, figures that confirm that the public education provided at UPV is an undeniable guarantee of professional success.
In the 2025 edition, more than 41,000 resumes were collected and 95% of the participating companies showed their interest in repeating the experience. Today, by breaking its own record with the participation of more than 225 companies, the UPV not only facilitates access to the labor market for its students, but also acts as a powerful driver of the local economy, attracting investment, knowledge, and new business opportunities.
To guarantee the success of the candidates, the Integrated Employment Service (SIE) of the UPV has carried out various preparatory activities during the month of April, including resume review, digital footprint analysis, and interview labs, ensuring that university talent shines brightly before the companies that will gather in Valencia tomorrow.
