The European aerospace group Airbus has carried out the repurchase of 1,169,475 own shares between September 11 and 18, for a total amount close to 229.7 million euros, according to what the company has notified to the markets.

The purchases were made at a weighted average daily price of 196.42 euros per share in the Euronext Paris (XPAR) and Xetra Frankfurt (XETA) markets, with a volume that remained stable around 195,000 shares per trading session.

These acquisitions are framed within the share repurchase program communicated on September 11, supported by the authorization granted by the annual general meeting of shareholders on April 14, which allows for the acquisition of up to a maximum of 10% of the issued share capital.

The company has indicated that the purpose of this repurchase plan is to address future employee stock plans and compensation schemes linked to the company's equity instruments.
