A problem in the electrical supply of the control tower at Barcelona-El Prat Airport, now resolved, has caused significant delays in departures and arrivals of planes, as well as several diversions.
As Aena has communicated in a message on "X" reported by Europa Press, around 14:00 hours both takeoffs and landings were temporarily halted due to this incident.
Around 15:30 hours, the electrical supply has been fully restored and "the normal operation is gradually being recovered," Aena has pointed out, specifying that, of the 1,124 operations scheduled at the airport for this Wednesday, 10 diversions have ultimately been recorded.
