British Airways and Viva have formalized a new codeshare agreement that will allow passengers of the British airline to purchase connecting tickets to or from 13 Mexican cities operated by the low-cost company. Among these destinations are Guadalajara, Monterrey and Puerto Vallarta, which will be connected to London via Mexico City and Cancún.

The routes included in this codeshare agreement with Viva are already available for booking to fly from March 28, 2027. In addition, members of The British Airways Club will have the possibility of continuing to earn Avios and tier points on their trips.

The 'low cost' airline Viva currently offers connections to more than 60 destinations across Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Costa Rica and Cuba, operated with a fleet made up of 110 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.

"Mexico has been an important part of our network for more than 60 years, and this agreement marks a milestone in our long history," valued British Airways director of planning and strategy Neil Chernoff.
