CaixaBank has granted in the first half of 2026 more than 10,000 million euros in new financing to small and medium-sized enterprises, which represents an increase of 2% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the entity detailed in a statement released this Wednesday.

Between January and June, the bank closed more than 81,000 operations aimed, mainly, at covering day-to-day liquidity needs and supporting investment projects aimed at growth and reinforcing the competitiveness of SMEs.

The bank explains that it promotes a relationship model "based on long-term support for companies through an offer that combines financing, specialized advice, and solutions adapted to the different stages of business evolution," which ranges from the start of activity to phases of expansion and internationalization.

To sustain this strategy, CaixaBank has a network of 212 specialized business centers spread throughout the national territory and more than 2,000 professionals focused on business advice.

Online SME Account and new incentives

Within its specific catalog for small and medium-sized enterprises, CaixaBank offers the Online SME Account, aimed at businesses with an annual turnover of up to 10 million euros.

This current account is exempt from maintenance and administration fees, does not require additional linking requirements, and allows managing all operations completely digitally.

In addition, the entity has reinforced this proposal with the launch of Tax Cashback, an initiative for new SME clients that links an economic incentive to the direct debit of taxes and social security.
