Carrefour Spain strengthens the presence of its 'marketplace' in the online channel after recording a 15% increase in the first half of the year, according to the company.

The platform, in operation since 2015, offers customers and members of El Club Carrefour a selection of more than 2.5 million items, driven by more than 1,000 specialized sellers in categories such as home furniture, garden, electronics, appliances, sports, and childcare.

Among the key drivers of this growth stands out the home bedding category, which has become a strategic lever within the 'marketplace'. This area has a specific assortment of more than 60,000 references, covering everything from 'low cost' proposals to high-end options, supported by agreements with exclusive 'online' brands to expand the offer and reinforce customer satisfaction.

"Our absolute focus is the customer and their shopping experience. The effort to bring exclusive brands, offer competitive prices, and provide exceptional service is paying off," explained the marketplace director of Carrefour Spain, Jesús Enebral.

As a result of this growth strategy and diversification of the assortment, Carrefour's marketplace has maintained a clearly exponential trajectory over the last three years.
