IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a management contract with the company Silk Road Inn to launch the "Garner Hotel Tashkent", which will be the first property of the "Garner" brand both in Uzbekistan and across Central Asia, as the company detailed in a note.

The future hotel, which will have 100 rooms and is already under construction on Temiryulchilar Street in the Uzbek capital, is scheduled to open in September 2027.

The property will be located very close to Tashkent International Airport and will have easy access to the city's main financial and business districts.

With this project, IHG will strengthen its footprint in Tashkent, where it already manages hotels under the InterContinental, voco, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn brands, covering the luxury, premium and upper-midscale segments.

IHG's vice president of development for Europe, Willemijn Geels, has underlined that the initiative represents a key step for the expansion of the brand in a market with growing demand for midscale accommodation backed by international operators. For his part, the CEO of Silk Road Inn LLC, Shokhrukh Khasanov, has highlighted that the value-for-money-focused proposal fits the expectations of business and leisure travelers heading to Tashkent.

The "Garner" brand, aimed at flexible conversion projects and competitive development costs, had a total of 64 hotels in operation in Europe as of September 30, 2026, and an additional portfolio of 24 projects under development in different markets around the world.
