Kutxabank has communicated that it comfortably exceeds the capital requirements set by the European Central Bank (ECB) for 2027 after the latest supervisory review and evaluation (SREP), which allows it to remain among the entities with the best risk profile on the continent.
In a note, the Basque bank has detailed that the European supervisor has set a minimum level for the CET1 ratio of 8.76% and 12.85% for Total Solvency for 2027, and that Kutxabank exceeds both thresholds, as of the end of June, these ratios are above 21% in both cases.
In addition, Kutxabank will have to meet a capital requirement of 1.35% (Pillar 2 Requirement - P2R) in 2027, a target that is also covered by the current solvency levels of the entity.
