The spokesperson for the Government of Navarra, Javier Remírez, has expressed his "respect" after the decision of the Basque group Ohmnia to request permission from the CNMV to formulate a takeover bid for Azkoyen for 244.5 million euros, emphasizing that it is "an operation that corresponds to the private sphere" between both companies.

During the press conference following the session of the regional Executive, Remírez pointed out that it is "a takeover bid that has been declared friendly by the shareholders of Azkoyen" and stressed that, "therefore, we respect and that it is fulfilled, as it is apparently being fulfilled, everything that is the legal procedure established by the National Securities Market Commission".

In this context, he emphasized that "our interest, above all, is that this possible change of ownership or shareholders in Azkoyen does not negatively impact the investment projects, the decision-making centers, productivity, and employment of a plant that is of absolute reference for the Community".
