Nvidia recorded in its second fiscal quarter, corresponding to the period from May to July, a net profit of 59.688 billion dollars (51.156 billion euros), which implies an increase of 126% compared to the same interval of the previous year, according to data communicated by the American manufacturer of advanced microprocessors.
Nvidia's revenue in these three months reached 96.221 billion dollars (82.467 billion euros), representing a rise of 106% year-on-year and an additional advance of 18% compared to the income obtained in the first quarter of its fiscal year.
In the accumulated first half of the fiscal year, the multinational led by Jensen Huang achieved a net profit of 118.110 billion dollars (101.227 billion euros), an increase of 161.3% over the same period of the previous year. In parallel, the turnover rose to 177.837 billion dollars (152.417 billion euros), 95.8% more in year-on-year terms.
"AI has reached a turning point," said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia. "It is doing useful work. Its components are productive and profitable. Now, computing generates revenue," he added.
The executive also emphasized that demand "is accelerating" in a "golden age" marked by the creation of new AI laboratories and startups, the simultaneous expansion of multiple leading research centers, a solid ecosystem of open models, and the deployment of physical AI, with a notable push both in the United States and in other international markets.
Looking ahead to the third quarter of its fiscal year, Nvidia expects revenues around 108.000 billion dollars (92.563 billion euros), with an estimated deviation of 2%. The company estimates that the gross margin will be at 74%, with a possible variation of 50 basis points up or down. Additionally, the company anticipates that operating expenses will be around 9.200 billion dollars (7.885 billion euros).
