Revolut has unveiled its plans to launch its own network of VIP lounges, called Revolut Lounge, in various European airports. The first opening is scheduled at the Copenhagen hub airport (Denmark) starting in 2027, according to the company in a statement.
With this initiative, the firm takes a new step to transfer its digital ecosystem to physical locations with a high concentration of customers, after the inauguration of its first Revolut Store in Barcelona, located in the central area of Portal del Ángel.
"We all agree that airport VIP lounges often leave a lot to be desired. We want to bring our way of understanding design to the physical world and create something bold and attractive. Copenhagen fits perfectly," said the Director - Product GP & New Bets, Revolut, Hadi Nasrallah.
The choice of the airport in the Danish capital, which handles 30 million passengers a year and offers connections to 184 destinations, is justified by its international prestige as a "benchmark in Scandinavian design, architectural innovation, and global connectivity."
At the same time, Denmark reflects Revolut's strong expansion in the Nordic countries, a strategic area for the European bank, where it already has two million users and expects to exceed three million before the end of the year.
The Revolut Lounge project at Copenhagen Airport will be carried out in collaboration with Plaza Premium Group, operator of the largest global network of airport VIP lounges. Its brand Plaza Premium Lounge has been recognized by Skytrax as the best independent VIP lounge in the world continuously from 2016 to 2025.
For this reason, the financial entity based in Lithuania aims for this space to become "the largest shared VIP lounge in the Schengen area."
As highlighted by the airport's CEO, Peter Krogsgaard, the future Revolut Lounge will provide a high-quality offering for travelers and reinforce the goal of providing them with "comfort, ease, and exceptional service."
