The Spanish artificial intelligence (AI) company listed on BME Growth, Substrate AI, has appointed Iván Otero as the new global commercial director (CCO), a newly created position aimed at strengthening its executive team to face a phase of expansion and scale the sale of its solutions.

As the company has communicated, this addition is part of its strategy to enhance its sales capacity, gain market presence, and accelerate the development of its three areas of activity: artificial intelligence models, platforms, and services.

In his role as global commercial director, Otero will be responsible for defining and executing the group's commercial strategy, identifying new business avenues, and building a structure capable of supporting growth to transform market opportunities into sustainable results.

Otero has over 19 years of experience in commercial and management roles at Verisure, where he held the territorial management position for his last nine years at the company and coordinated teams made up of more than 500 professionals in the last four years.

At the same time, the company continues its research work, and the head of R&D at Substrate AI, Bren Worth, will present in the coming months work on new AI architectures and continuous learning at the SMAP 2026 congress in Greece and NeurIPS 2026 in Sydney.
