Sumar has charged against Junts for "allying with speculation and fascism" after announcing their rejection of the two housing decrees that will be debated and voted on tomorrow in the full Congress.

In response to Junts' demand that the Government withdraw both texts, the second vice president and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Díaz, has warned that "there is nothing to withdraw" and emphasized that the Executive is "very clear" that its objective is "to fight against speculation." "It has word and respects agreements," she has underscored in a message disseminated on her social networks.

In the same vein, Díaz has summarized the vote this Thursday as a clear dilemma: "Either with the people or with the speculators. Either with Spain and Catalonia or with Vox and the PP. That is what we vote on tomorrow," she has stated.

The Minister of Culture and leader of Sumar, Ernest Urtasun, has also insisted that the Government will not backtrack on the housing decrees. "Tomorrow we vote on whether we protect those who live in rental or those who speculate with housing. Each one will have to decide which side they are on," he has pointed out on the social network 'Bluesky'.

The Minister of Health and spokesperson for Más Madrid, Mónica García, has contrasted two political models, stating that there are "two ways to do politics": "The one of screwing people's lives or the one of providing solutions that improve their lives. The former cannot get away with it for free," she has responded.

In similar terms, the Minister of Social Rights, Pablo Bustinduy, has stated that those who oppose the decrees "do not vote against the Government," but "against their people." "And it will not come free for them," he has emphasized.

Pressure to support the housing decrees

The spokesperson for Sumar in Congress, Verónica Barbero, has attacked those of Carles Puigdemont, accusing them of aligning "with speculation and fascism."

Barbero has replied to Junts that "there is nothing to withdraw," in response to their demand to overturn the two decrees, and has urged them to "vote alongside the people": "Maricarmen decree yes or yes."

On the other hand, the parliamentary spokesperson for IU and deputy of Sumar in Congress, Enrique Santiago, has called for "indignation" to occupy "the streets and the ballot boxes" if the right "sinks the 'Maricarmen decrees'."

In a message on 'X', Santiago has defended that the "broadest front" involves a political agreement with a program that safeguards the "right to housing for the working class."

In the same vein, the federal coordinator of IU, Antonio Maíllo, has reiterated that his organization "is clear about it": "Either you are with the working people or with the rentiers and the vulture funds." "Tomorrow we will demonstrate this inside and outside of Congress," he added.

Meanwhile, the deputy spokesperson of Más Madrid in the Assembly, Emilio Delgado, has called for the convening of elections in the event that Junts carries out "the threat."

"If they carry out the threat, to elections. With an agreement from all progressive forces for democratic deepening: housing, wealth distribution, and ecological and energy transition," he proposed.
