Telefónica is present at the IV Congress of Artificial Intelligence (AI) of Andalusia, an event organized by the Junta de Andalucía through the Digital Agency of Andalusia, which takes place from October 26 to 28 at the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses of Granada.

Under the slogan "Technology that serves. People who lead", the event brings together institutional representatives, national and international experts, researchers, universities, technology companies, and public sector professionals to examine the progress in artificial intelligence, exchange experiences, and promote alliances around a technology that is changing the economy and social life.

The director of the Southern Territory of Telefónica España, Joaquín Segovia, has emphasized that the operator maintains the goal of being "the best access route" for citizens, administrations, and companies to digital technologies, which is why he considers that the IV Congress of Artificial Intelligence of Andalusia is the "perfect" environment to show how it is revolutionizing the telecommunications sector "with more and better services" and how it facilitates other organizations to make this leap.

Within this context, Telefónica participates in two round tables where it will present its approach to the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence opens up.

The first, titled "From AI Factories to GigaFactories. Building the sovereign infrastructure of European AI", features the presence of Carlos Rabazo, manager of Digital Transformation and Innovation Ecosystems of Telefónica España. His presentation will address this issue from the perspective of gigafactories, within the framework of the deployment of AI infrastructures in Europe.

The second table, "The AI revolution in the Telco sector", focuses on how telecommunications operators are integrating artificial intelligence into their internal processes and helping other entities incorporate this technology. Juan Delgado Díaz-Pache, manager of AI Strategy and Automation of Telefónica España, joins the conversation to convey the company's vision on this transformation.

AI SOLUTIONS FOR HEALTH AND EDUCATION

Additionally, Telefónica has an exhibition area where visitors can learn about different solutions that illustrate the potential of artificial intelligence to respond to specific needs.

Among these proposals is Tucuvi, an intelligent virtual caregiver that accompanies elderly people, promoting that they maintain their autonomy and can continue living independently in their homes. Torax is also presented, a solution that relies on the analysis of medical images to assist in diagnosis and prioritization of clinical cases, along with Mathew, an educational tool that uses AI to personalize learning, adjust content, and provide interactive support to both students and teachers.
