Unicaja has launched the Cuenta Pymes, a new product aimed at new business customers, with the intention of simplifying daily banking operations for small and medium-sized companies. This account eliminates administration fees, as well as those associated with the issuance of SEPA euro transfers and remittances, and with the negotiation and clearance of cheques and promissory notes.
Additionally, the account may be exempt from maintenance fees if two of the four relationship requirements set by the entity are met, as it has detailed in a statement. Specifically, this fee exemption applies when choosing and meeting two of the following four conditions: having a TPV with a minimum average monthly billing of 600 euros in the last twelve months or a professional card with at least two monthly transactions and a minimum spending of 100 euros within 60 days; maintaining an average balance in funds of at least 5,000 euros; taking out insurance policies with annual premiums equal to or greater than 300 euros; and having financing with an average balance of 10,000 euros or more.
With this launch, Unicaja strengthens its offering for small and medium-sized businesses with an account that adjusts its conditions to the operations and financial needs of each business. The Cuenta Pymes also includes a welcome promotion consisting of six months at no cost. Likewise, it incorporates, without commission, various usual services, such as account management, the deposit of cheques and SEPA transfers, both through digital channels and in-branch, along with payroll and transfer remittances.
All of this makes it possible to centralize in a single account much of the company’s routine banking operations and facilitates the management of collections, payments, and resources. "With the Cuenta Pymes we want to offer each company a flexible solution that adapts to the way it works and allows it to focus its day-to-day operations under competitive conditions. This launch forms part of our commitment to supporting SMEs with an integrated proposal that combines transactional services, financing, payment methods, and specialized advice," said the director of SMEs, Businesses, and Company Products at Unicaja, Santiago Casanova.
The Pymes Account is integrated into Unicaja’s global offering for the business fabric, which brings together financing solutions, payment methods, digitalization tools, management services, and specialized advisory services. This development is included in the entity’s Strategic Plan 2025-2027, which among its priorities includes improving the customer experience and designing an offering tailored to the specific needs of each segment. With this account, Unicaja aims to "facilitate the day-to-day activity of SMEs and accompany them in their management, financing, and growth needs".
