The parliamentary groups of the Assembly of Extremadura will take on this Thursday, November 5, a plenary session focused on issues of the utmost current relevance such as housing policy, the theft of data from the Servicio Extremeño de Salud, and the escalation of prices.

The first plenary session of November will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Hemicycle of the regional parliament with the opposition’s question round to the Council of Government. In this block, the Socialist deputy Gonzalo Romero will be interested in the impact that the creation of the "Fundación Instituto Extremeño del Mestizaje" has on the "Fundación Extremeña de la Cultura".

Next, the parliamentarian of Unidas por Extremadura Nerea Fernández will focus her remarks on learning about the actions that the Junta of Extremadura is carrying out to stop the closure or the suspension of the activities of public educational centers in the region.

For her part, the spokesperson of the Socialist Group, Isabel Gil Rosiña, will put forward a question regarding the measures that the Junta has put in place to "recover, protect and prevent fraudulent use of stolen health data" in the recent cyberattack against the Servicio Extremeño de Salud.

After the questions, the plenary session will proceed to select the members of the Board of Directors of the public company Corporación Extremeña de Medios Audiovisuales (CEXMA), before Unidas por Extremadura deputy Juan Alessandro Schirinzi questions the regional Executive about its personnel management policy.

Housing plan and fire prevention

In the block of appearances of the Council of Government, the minister of Infrastructures, Transport and Housing, Francisco Ramírez, will, on his own initiative, set out the details of the "Plan de Vivienda, Rehabilitación y Suelo de Extremadura 2026-2030", approved by the Council of Government on October 27, 2026.

Next, and at the request of the Socialist Group, the vice president and minister of the Presidency, Coordination of the Action of Government, Interior and Emergencies, Abel Bautista, will give an account of the coordination of the Junta of Extremadura to face the 2026 forest fire campaign.

The agenda also includes a subsequent motion following an interpellation by Unidas por Extremadura, which urges the regional Executive to put in place new measures to promote the generation of biogas and biomethane and to improve waste management in the community.

Transport and housing aid in tense areas

The debate will continue with three proposals for a boost. The first, recorded by the Socialist Group, seeks for the Junta de Extremadura to convene an extraordinary line of direct aid to support the economic viability of companies and professionals in public freight and passenger transport affected by the increase in fuel costs.

The second initiative will again address the housing problem, with the aim of having the regional Executive declare ex officio the "Tense Residential Market Areas," revise the modules and maximum prices of "Protected Housing (VPO)," and redirect the regional land and housing policy, at the proposal of Unidas por Extremadura.

In the third proposal, the Socialist Group will call on the regional government to ensure public funding for the "Youth Council of Extremadura" to sustain its operating structure, guarantee its autonomy, and maintain investments in research.

The plenary session will close with the debate of a proposal for a statement from the Popular Group, which demands that the central Government take measures to protect families’ purchasing power through the tax reduction of basic foods and energy, the deflation of the IRPF, and a stable package of actions in response to the rise in fuel prices.
