The full Parliament of Navarra has given the green light this Thursday to a motion from Contigo-Zurekin that urges the regional government to "create before the end of the current year, in collaboration with local entities that voluntarily wish to participate, a working group for the identification and preparation of an inventory of parcels and properties of public ownership that are underutilized, out of use, or are susceptible to being allocated or converted to residential use."
The initiative has moved forward with the support of PSN, EH Bildu, Geroa Bai, and Contigo-Zurekin, while UPN and PPN have opted for abstention and Vox has voted against.
The first point of the motion finally approved comes from a modification amendment registered by EH Bildu and adopted by Contigo-Zurekin during the parliamentary processing.
In addition, the resolution incorporates a second section that asks the Navarrese Executive to "promote long-term use transfer agreements with local entities, as well as with religious entities and other institutions that own underutilized properties, to allocate them to social housing programs, in line with what has already been approved by the Parliament of Navarra in April 2026."
