The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Jaume Bauzá, has argued that the Government now opens the option of directing funds from the Sustainable Tourism Tax (ITS) to housing policies, once the "historic demand" in terms of the water cycle and the environment has been met.

During the plenary session of the Parliament this Tuesday, the minister has expressed "total agreement" with the announcement of the president of the Government, Marga Prohens, in the General Policy Debate, to allocate ITS to housing.

As he has explained, the initial idea of the regional government with this tax was to use the resources for "what had not been allocated for many years," specifically referring to actions related to the water cycle and the environment.
