The Italian security forces have arrested this Thursday in the city of Milan, in the north of the country, a 22-year-old whom is accused of having prepared attacks against a synagogue and a mosque.
The operation has been carried out after an investigating judge in Milan issued an arrest warrant against the suspect, also originally from this city, following an in-depth investigation promoted by the Prosecutor's Office, which has reviewed the content of his electronic devices.
According to the investigation, the young man —whose identity has not been revealed— would have been gathering information with "terrorist purposes", in addition to having acquired chemical products intended for the manufacture of bombs. He would also have distributed and shared propaganda to incite hatred.
The authorities have indicated that among his material were found manifestos and texts by Anders Breivik, the terrorist responsible for the massacres in Oslo and Utoya in 2011. Likewise, among his belongings content of white supremacist, Holocaust-denying and xenophobic nature was found.
