A four-year-old boy and a woman have died as a consequence of a new wave of attacks with Russian drones carried out this Wednesday over Chernihiv, a city in northern Ukraine considered a strategic enclave due to its proximity to the border with Russia.

"A drone hit a residential building. As a result of the attack, a 14-year-old boy has been injured and, unfortunately, two people have died: a woman and a four-year-old boy," lamented the city's mayor, Dmitro Brizhinski, in a message on social media.

In parallel, authorities have reported new bombings in the eastern province of Dnipropetrovsk, where two people have been injured in attacks with "drones, artillery, and bombs," as detailed by the regional military governor of Ukraine, Oleksandr Ganzha.

In this region, the center of Nikopol and the localities of Pokrovska, Marhanetska, Mozolevska, and Chervonogryhorivska have been attacked. The impacts have affected an agricultural company, a market, several apartment blocks, and numerous vehicles. A 26-year-old woman has suffered injuries and has received outpatient care.

In Pavlohrad, a single-family home has been damaged by the attacks and another woman, 20 years old, has been injured, also receiving outpatient treatment. Additionally, in the locality of Vasilkivska, a fire related to these incidents has been declared, about which authorities have not provided further information so far.

Already on Tuesday afternoon, Ganzha had reported the death of one person and eleven injured as a result of another series of Russian attacks against Pishchanka, also in the province of Dnipropetrovsk.

This bombing caused the total destruction of three private homes and damage to another fifteen. Likewise, residents of the area closest to the explosion point had to be evacuated as a safety measure.
