Eight people have been injured this Tuesday in a shooting that occurred near a school in the Turkish town of Turgutlu, in the western province of Manisa. Authorities have confirmed that the alleged perpetrator of the attack has already been arrested and is in police custody.
According to a statement released on social media by the Manisa governor's office, the incident was recorded around 8:00 a.m. (local time) in the vicinity of the school, where "numerous teams" from the security forces and emergency services were dispatched.
The same sources have indicated that the injured were evacuated to a medical center in Turgutlu to receive medical attention, while the suspect "was arrested and placed in custody."
